I wonder why this lie has been persisted for generations. Children are sooo so disappointed and traumatized when they find out that their PARENTS have always lied to them about it. At least that's how it was for me. One of the biggest disappointments of my childhood. I refrained from doing this with my children as much as possible. No lies allowed.
